- asdsa5325 8y agoinb4 Amazon starts shipping boxes of commits with Prime
- empyrical 8y agoI wonder if google would want to buy Atlassian some time in the future?
- the_trapper 8y agoGoogle Code had git support and a fair amount of traction within the open source community at one point but they let it stagnate and eventually put it in read-only mode. I don't think Google actually wants to be in the code hosting business for the community at large.
- kyrra 8y agoGoogle already has this: https://cloud.google.com/source-repositories/ https://cloud.google.com/source-repositories/ I believe Amazon has something similar.
- pier25 8y agoHuh. Does Google also have an issue tracker?
- gsnedders 8y agoAFAIK, no. Heck, Chrome and Android both use (separate) in-house ones.
- kyrra 8y agoThey have a couple, neither are usable by Cloud customers. I believe the git integration is for Stackdriver Debugger (debug stuff in prod with viewing source), and container builder[0]. As for issue trackers, there is the chromium one that is based off of the old Google code issue tracker [1]. And about a year ago they started exposing a newer issue tracker[2]. - mikerybka 8y agoI feel like there is an opportunity here for them to provide a CitC as a service type thing.
