But... where are the new macs?
- ghostly_s 8y agoThis is WWDC. They don't typically announce new hardware there in recent years.
- justindocanto 8y agoNot so sure about this. WWDC 2017 (last year) had all of these announcements: - New iMac Pro - New iPad Pro 10.5 - New HomePod - Updated iMac - Updated MacBook - Updated MacBook Pros
- saagarjha 8y agoThat was just last year. Hardware announcements overall are do not happen every time.
- OverThere 8y agoJust last year they announced new iMac, Macbook Pro, Homepod and gave a sneak peek at iMac Pro. Hardware announcements sometimes do happy at WWDC. I'm guessing they are not ready yet, so we just gotta hold out until fall event.
- pier25 8y ago"typically"
- threeseed 8y agoSeptember now. It also means the MacBooks will likely be shipping with a new keyboard, Coffee Lake and we will see 6 core/32GB variant for the 15inch.
- jrs95 8y agoDamn, I guess I'll be picking one of those up then! I had been planning on having to wait to 2019, this is good news!
- nkkollaw 8y agoHopefully, a keyboard that actually works, this time! I have no idea why even after the class action no one talks about how embarrassingly flawed their thin keyboards are. Mine (EUR 1799 laptop) broke after 2 months, was fixed by Apple, then broke again. People I talked to experienced similar problems, with missing keystrokes, double letters, etc.
- owenwil 8y agoUnlikely on many of these counts.
- threeseed 8y agoSeptember is typical for hardware releases. And we just saw a 6-core CoffeeLake MacBook Pro on Geekbench: https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/06/03/benchmarks-hints-at-macbook-pro-with-intels-powerful-six-core-core-i7-8750h https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/06/03/benchmarks-hints-...
