Federated GitLab would be a cool leap for me to trust it, and a strong counter to what I'm about to say... But man, I wish there was just an accepted, good UX federated system for hosting issues/etc. The solutions exploiting git metadata seem to be the most interesting to me, but then there's an issue of easily getting a single source of truth for a project, etc. Git blockchain anyone? .. I cringe at the thought, but it sounds like I'm basically describing that lol.
