I'm working on a product where I had to serialize 100KB+ BLOBs in two places. The first was over stdout from a c program to an elixir application and the second was over a binary websocket, specifically a Pheonix channel. In both cases I'm using MsgPack. It was easy enough to implement and I like how it has real numeric types.
