My guess is they built a very expensive system for the kind of scale they support. It's all RoR and sharded mysql right? Considering how dynamic it is, the resources to power that must be mind boggling.
- user5994461 8y agoThe costs of the fancy office and the workforce should be quite high as well. The cash flow is probably good but even with a million customers at $5 a month, that's not enough to sustain a large company.
