In The Nichomachean Ethics Aristotle wrangles at long length hashing out the difference between pleasure and happiness ("the good"). It's an unfair assessment to lift a quote like that out of context.

You have to wade through quite a bit of setup, especially as Aristotle ponders questions of the origins of virtue in book two in order to appreciate the quote from GP. Contextomy and Aristolean philosophy are like oil and water.
