- timthorn 8y agoAnd yet Science is the "new" name for Natural Philosophy. For example, The Cambridge Philosophical Society (http://cambridgephilosophicalsociety.org/ http://cambridgephilosophicalsociety.org/) was founded in 1819 'for the purpose of promoting scientific inquiry'.
