frontend: create-react-app frontend hosting: surge.sh (free) backend: node + socket.io (usually on a separate domain with CORS) backend hosting: heroku (free) database: MongoDB database host: mlab (free) everything in TypeScript, of course, because when you're in a hurry, you simply don't have time for your code to not be typesafe! (actually though, TS is a maaaaajor time saver, especially for smaller projects!)
