Well, you're not wrong. Interfering with some frequencies can earn a rather harsh punishment in most of the western world, even if it's the first time and even if only by (gross) negligence. Operating graphics cards by the thousands in conditions clearly unfit to operate them likely consitutes at least simple negligence w.r.t. interference that may occur.
