- dmitriid 8y agoThe sad thing about GSS is that Cassowary Constraint Solver was proposed to w3c in 1999 (!!!), and it was rejected on the grounds that it might be too costly in terms of power etc. Edited to clarify meaning
- smaddox 8y agoMy understanding is that this approach was rejected because of path-dependence of the layout, i.e. deterministic only if you include the full interaction history. Path-dependence in a layout engine would be a debugging nightmare.
