Good thing they removed all mentions of that from their workers' code of conduct then, no? They really dodged a bullet there (get it?) https://www.digitaltrend

Moral compass out of sight, out of mind, is probably what the leadership must have been thinking, especially after the recent protest against Maven from a few thousand employees (which seems to have resulted only in the leadership trying to appease them by promising some secret bullshit "ethics rules")
- joshuamorton 8y agoExcept they didn't, it's still in the code of conduct ;)
- mtgx 8y agoIt used to be a central piece. Now it barely gets a "Oh, and don't be evil guys, k?" mention in the very last line.
- joshuamorton 8y ago"removed all mention" is entirely false though. And while I don't particularly care for this change, calling the concluding sentence of a document "a passing mention" feels forced. I would agree it's been deemphasized and should be mentioned more, but a concluding sentence is pretty central to a document. It's meant to sum up the entire document.
