That's a really nice map! I made some graphs today comparing Chinese dialects (Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Minnan, Hakka, etc) to languages with a similar number of speakers. When I write up a blog post about it, then I'll share it here. (Hakka news on Hacker News!) I also like this world map, scaled by population instead of land area.
