- josteink 8y agoNot to mention that in the world of npm, a package is often just a single function (like leftpad).
- berti 8y agoYeah, I can't see many C/C++ types swallowing that. The cost of writing a single function tends to be much lower than the cost of maintaining an external dep, as leftpad proved.
- cup-of-tea 8y agoThat's probably true for js too (the leftpad debacle is a good example), but so many just glue together the magic library code without realising just how simple some of those functions they are pulling in are.
