I can see why you'd think that. I just want to put on the record that all of the project managers I've worked with have been extremely competent and a joy to work with. The problem is not the people, it's the methodology that gets in the way of people doing their jobs. The poor implementations of agile that Scrum encourages are what is devaluing project management, not my post.
