Venmo is evil. They have this whole concept of socializing how we spend money. They're onboarding merchants like they're going to replace credit cards. I don't want my money in a "Venmo account." I want it in my bank account. I don't need all my friends knowing who I'm paying back, and for what. The only time I've used it in the past year is when a guy at a gas station asked to borrow $20 to fill his tank and he paid me back with Venmo. I was worried it was a scam, but it worked out okay. Cash is still king.
