How does FastSpring differ in terms of security? If your app doesn't have a server-side component, it's going to get cracked eventually. You should make it a little annoying to crack but any more time than that isn't worth it in my opinion.
- itamarst 8y agoWith Paddle if I know URL of product in store I know URL of product download. It's trivial to get free download. With FastSpring they make at least some effort to make URL unguessable. It's not that what FastSpring is a real impediment to piracy (once something is downloaded it's game over anyway), it's more that Paddle's implementation was so clueless I figured probably other parts of their system were similarly bad.

- ezekg 8y agoHave you thought of using something different like https://keygen.sh https://keygen.sh that handles licensing and licensed distribution, on top of a payment provider like FastSpring/Paddle? Disclaimer: I’m the founder. :)
