Ask HN: Want to text with someone living in poverty in the developing world?
I've been doing this lately, and it's been really interesting and perspective-altering. Anyone else want to do this?
- grawprog 8y agoI've been doing it for a while...it's fairly illuminating. If anything I learned it's not necessarily as bad as it seems in some ways....more terrible than you realize in others....and in some ways...the quality of life is sometimes better. If there's one thing i've learned the world is more similar in ways you'd expect but different in all sorts of small ways.
