Glad that student loans are NOT dischargeable via bankruptcy. Why wouldn’t this guy tighten his belt and put every penny towards the loans until fully paid off

Glad that student loans are NOT dischargeable via bankruptcy. Why wouldn’t this guy tighten his belt and put every penny towards the loans until fully paid off? Don’t understand why his is paying less than the accruing interest.
