Encouraging this attitude is childish. GDPR (which has been around for 2 years now) is a way for people to say "ok now grow up guys, we know you like to tinker, but we're getting screwed in ways we don't like and we've given you enough rope". This post is saying "so just don't sell soylent in the US because we're too good to bother passing FDA". No serious and earnest would/should consider this. Your work affects lives. Period.
