- muse900 8y agohaha, exactly what I thought. Although he is doing us all a favor. I stopped watching season 3 although I loved the series, because I saw that it was cancelled and didn't want to leave on a cliffhanger. Now ill get back at it.
- TeMPOraL 8y agoFWIW, in the wake of the news about cancellation, the producers said that S3 won't be ending with a huge cliffhanger. Anyway, I'm extremely happy to see The Expanse saved.
- tonfa 8y agoAnd you could still read the books :)
- bradknowles 8y agoThey’ve been pretty good about not ending a season on a cliffhanger. That’s one of the many things I’ve enjoyed about the show.
- bjelkeman-again 8y agoDidn’t buy it, but got the US first broadcast rights. I think.
- azernik 8y agoBut did throw enough money at the production company to keep it in production :-D
- crazysim 8y agoHe's already throwing a billion dollars a year at Blue Origin. This is a cheap way to market and promote space exploration.
- mgiannopoulos 8y agoDo we know Bezos likes the show? The headline is strange, there is zero mention in the article that he had any actual input into the decision.
- kethinov 8y agoBezos is known to be a fan of the franchise. The text of the first book was actually shown in one of his Kindle demos some years back. There has been a consensus within The Expanse community for a couple weeks now that Bezos was personally invested in getting the show renewed and was working to make it happen.
- mgiannopoulos 8y agoThanks to both for the answers. Who said billions can’t make you happy? :)
- danso 8y agohttps://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/expanse-revived-season-4-at-amazon-1113803 https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/expanse-revived-... > Amazon Studios had streaming rights to the first three seasons of the show. Sources say Bezos is a big fan of the book and was livid that the TV series went to NBCUniversal-owned Syfy. The move is said to have ignited Bezos' demand that Amazon Studios brass find the company's version of Game of Thrones.
- freekisanders 8y agoHi Neals, Sorry to barge in to this discussion, but I found no other way to contact you:/ I was reading an old thread on remote work, where you mentioned looking for part-time remote developers. If this is still true, please contact me, I might be interested. My e-mail can be seen in my profile (it’s my username with @gmail.com attached)
