A Brief History: 35 Years of Open Source Software
- alexkay 16y agoGreat, a post about open source which requires proprietary software (flash) to view it⸮ Why not just link to a PDF file with slides?
- cartab 16y agoCause it is on slideshare, and has audio.
- motters 16y agoWith other video formats on the horizon it probably won't be too much longer before reliance upon proprietary video codecs is a thing of the past.
- fmarier 16y agoPDF and rough MP3 recording up here: http://people.debian.org/~francois/nzcs/ http://people.debian.org/~francois/nzcs/ The video should be available from http://www.innovation.org.nz http://www.innovation.org.nz at some point.
- alexkay 16y agoThank you!
- bad_user 16y agoIt is only Free Software proponents that advocate for a world without proprietary software, which will never happen. Until HTML5 becomes more mainstream (e.g. IE9 released and with good market-share), Flash is the best option you have for audio/video.
