A potential stopgap: increase the necessary computation power required for fakes by only releasing 'official' media with multiple viewing angles and device signatures. e.g. press conference containing multiple mobile phone camera videos of the speaker from different audience perspectives. Probably the models will eventually catch up and allow this too, to be faked.
