John Knoll is a name that may be familiar to people who stick around after the credits; he was ILM's supervisor on Generations and First Contact, all the Star Wars prequels, some Harry Potter movies, as well as some of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. His name comes up a lot in behind-the-scenes interviews etc. with directors about effects.
- irascible 8y agoHe is truly an artist. Some of the user interfaces for his graphics tools he did on the early mac were beautiful in ways I had never seen before.

- thomasfl 8y agoJohn Knoll also came up with the plot for the Star Wars Rouge One film released in 2016. Versatile fellow.
- prewett 8y agoHave him write more Star Wars plots! I thought "Rogue One" was the best of all of them.
