As I recall the P-80 never saw combat, at least in WW II. I remember it chiefly for killing Richard Bong, the USAAF leading ace.

- philwelch 16y agoAs the F-80 it saw action in Korea. But the only jet that saw action in WWII was the Me 262. Edit: Also apparently the Gloster Meteor (thanks arethuza!)
