Sounds very similar to Sweden apart from the fact that interest accumulates during your studies here. Still with the low interest rates of the last 10 or so years they've been in the <1% range for a long time now. And since calculations are based on the average interest rate of new government bonds over the last 3 years it's likely to stay low for a while.
- kalleboo 8y agoThe interest rates in the Swedish student loan system are extremely low even within the context of Sweden's low interest rates - I'm paying back my student loan as slowly as possible since the interest on my savings account is actually higher than the interest on the loan!
