Our DNA may be as inevitable and common in the universe as the elements from which they are made. Quarks snap together in common forms we call protons, neutrons and electrons. They in turn combine to form a set of regular elements with consistent characteristics. Is it really such a stretch to imagine that the elements form amino acids quite readily all over the universe?
