So is this supposed to be a good or a bad thing? I've used whiteboards in a lot of interviews to great effect. I wouldn't confuse whiteboards with riddles. I also hate riddles and puzzles because they check for the riddle-solving skill, not the actual skill which will be used at work. Whiteboards are a completely orthogonal topic to riddles.
