Granted, for most cut/paste operations, PuTTY falls way short of the mark. However, where I like PuTTY over other SSH terminal windows is the ability to grab entire router/switch configs easily.
When it comes to in-depth SSH stuff, I prefer using a *nix VM which offers up more functionality.
Lastly, I posted this article because I was completely aghast when I learned Microsoft had not only installed an SSH client but also began accepting connections natively, without the user's knowledge.
