People with mobility issues sometimes prefer not having to use stairs or elevators. Not implying that's the author's preference, but that's what I've seen in the RE arena.
- pavel_lishin 8y agoIt's also much easier to access when you have a young child with a stroller.
- alistairSH 8y agoOr a pet that needs easy access to the outdoors. My son lives on the middle floor of a mid-rise apartment block and it's a bit annoying to take the dog out to pee.
