As a member of LE, what do you think your department would actually do in this case? I bought a stolen laptop on ebay, got in contact with the owner and got him his laptop back, and my money back through paypal. We gave the police the ebay and paypal account information of the seller, including name, two physical addresses, phone number, email address, and pictures of the laptop inside their apartment. The police didn't do anything. My boyfriend's laptop was stolen from our living room while we were sleeping in the bedroom, after the thief climbed through a window. The police didn't do anything then either.
