In the past year, I have gone back to reading the Enid Blytons (Secret Sevens and Famous Fives) that I fondly remembered. I was amazed at how bad I found them this time around. Especially, because I've read 2 Harry Potters recently and they are fairly readable. I also pick up Tintins and Asterixes from time to time and I still find them very enjoyable and appealing.
