The escalators have been renovated over the past few months, but should be back into action now so they can start renovating the elevators. It should cut down on cyclists a lot because most won’t be taking the escalators but opt for the ferry instead. On a warm summer’s day it’s nice to get out of the stuffy city using this tunnel. It’s always cool down there, and the monotony of the walk relaxes the mind. On the other shore there’s lots of green and open space, very quiet.
