The abuse potential of their technologies grows with every new peephole that they drill into your life. While people become increasingly dependent on said technology for a growing proportion of life's activities, FB and google have repeatedly demonstrated that they do not have our best interests in mind, and serve primarily to exploit overreaches in privacy and trust. Not to be melodramatic, but it's like some weird kind of slavery.
