There is another angle - healthier user's are more productive and spend more of their money on google's and its advertiser's products. Why would they NOT care about the well being of their users?
- balls187 8y agoThat feels like the public line. I understand google isn't the illuminati looking to dominate the world from behind the scenes, but I am highly skeptical about their motives behind this. In the US, other than YouTube, google has very little in the way of dopamine as a service, like Facebook, Twitter, Snap, IG, etc. This feels like an attempt to get in on the technology addiction by feigning to be anti-addiction.
