Consultancies are making probably billions of dollars off of the General Electrics of the world preparing them for gdpr compliance. Then you've got the legal fees. And in the end it feels like you have just burned all that money, because in most cases, regulation doesn't actually accomplish anything. But hopefully it is all worth it for the cases where it actually improves people's lives.
