Google is truly scary, and I do believe now very evil. I used to be on their side, but that was long ago and I no longer have any faith or trust in Google. They are all about the dollar and are no longer get net citizens IMHO.
- DSingularity 8y agoWhat’s scary is the potential of their models and ad targeting infrastructure used to monitor populations and identify dissenters in other countries. Given how tightly connected Google is to the CIA and NSA I would assume this is already happening.
- imustbeevil 8y agoIt's a bit reductive to call 80,000 people evil. The reality is that everyone is just trying to do their best for themselves and the people closest to them. We're all virtually the same, we just value different things. No one considers themselves evil, which means there's a disconnect in our ability to communicate with each other. Categorizing a difference in values as "evil" prevents us from understanding each other better.

- nobody17 8y agoit is not reductive to call 80,000 people evil when they act together and their actions empower great evil. and, let us be honest and direct here: Google has become EXTREMELY evil. not just plain old evil. If you work or contribute in any way to the machine that Google has become, you are part of that evil. Even the socalled protest of a few thousand Google staff recently, citing the fake motto of do not evil, means something. It means that there are thousands that work at Google that knows that lines have been crossed. But, it is not just the obvious lines. It is the fascism. Google uses its considerable power to hunt, target and destroy individual people. Google has become the single largest potential threat to the freedom of mankind.
