    Huh. I still don't like that it doesn't require hands on the wheel (I fell like a creative person could trick the eye tracking). But unlike the Tesla, it does have LIDAR.

At a certain point, you can't really blame the manufacturer when the driver is actively trying to defeat safety features put in place for their own good.

        Sure you can, because those features aren't just there for the driver's own good: they protect all the other people on the road.

          Don't forget, a big part is absolving the car manufacturer of liability.
