That's a very nice way to look at it but you're talking about a good engineer that's been with the company for a while to prefer mentoring others over just working on whatever they want.
- daveFNbuck 9y agoAnswering random on-demand questions isn't the same as mentoring. In order to mentor people, you need to be given long-term leadership roles where you work closely with a small number of people.
