If you are creating a website targeting people in a Western culture (most websites), I do not see any harm in optimizing for their user experience. Catering towards demographics outside of your target audience may do more harm than good.

- frockington 8y agoNA, Europe and wealthy China. I'm sure Spanish people are familiar with first and last name concepts and have learned over the years how to handle such forms without second thought
