Great tactical move. FB will get:
- another income source from the same data. (ads and dating)
- even more information about their users and in a justifiable way. Users want them to make good matches.
- another costumer lock-in. It will be even more difficult to quit FB.
- AnimalMuppet 9y agoYour second point is spot on. Users can't complain about FB collecting too much data. "You want to find true love, right? Well, we need better data about you to make it happen..." But on your third point, I see an escape: Get married. Then you're free to leave FB.
- galfarragem 9y agoI would say that older generations are already locked-in, locking-in younger generations is the problem.
