I was afraid the minute I saw ImageMagick. I have had numerous problems building and getting that working in the past, especially on OS X. To be fair, it has been about two years since I had to deal with it, so maybe things have improved. Imaging libraries always seem to be a bear though, so I'm not sure there are many alternatives.
