Definitely not. My site hits the front page of Reddit a few times a year and handles it just fine. Today's HN hit was only about twice as much traffic as a typical day.
- mjd 8y agoCase in point: my article about traffic control systems (https://blog.plover.com/tech/highway-stuff.html https://blog.plover.com/tech/highway-stuff.html) is on the front page and has already received twice as much traffic as this one, and the West Coast hasn't even come to work yet.
