Maybe this is obvious, but to informally install executables supplied by python packages, use a separate virtualenv for each one and place a symlink to the venv

Maybe this is obvious, but to informally install executables supplied by python packages, use a separate virtualenv for each one and place a symlink to the venv/bin/theexecutable in a location like ~/bin that you have on your $PATH.
- icebraining 9y agopipsi is great for that, it takes care of creating the virtualenv, etc.
