What makes the "obvious cash crop" so profitable is the fact that it's illegal, and therefore requires a high premium to cover the risk involved. There's nothing inherently super-profitable about growing pot.
- fragmede 16y agoYou're right, and it's actually kind of interesting that Prop 19 has opposition in Northern California, because it's widely accepted that its passage will severely bring down prices, and thus profitability.
