I just upvoted you, but I don’t think it works like that. It’s like to judge how you can paint Da Vinci’s “Monna Lisa” by using more or less strokes than necessary. Probably you can do it but it’s not the same thing the author intended. Art, like programming, is entirely subjective. And, as far as I know “J” objective was not very dissimilar than yours, unless I badly misjudged what you are trying to achieve.
