- gremlinsinc 8y agoHe should team of with Tim Berners Lee, and get the creator of the internet to claim he owns the rights to Web.com ...
- gerdesj 8y agoSo it should really be web.co.uk, or web.ac.uk, or web.gb, or web.ch or web.ac.ch or something 8) Sir Tim is a Brit and we have two TLDs uk and gb and of course Sir Tim was working at CERN in Switzerland (.ch) when he started the www thing. Sir T only invented the www. The internet as such was invented by an American agency - ARPA/DARPA.
- gremlinsinc 8y agoWas Al Gore for Darpa at the time? lol
- Buge 8y agoAnd it should be france.fr not france.com
- codfrantic 8y agoIt's even worse. france.com forwards to france.fr at the moment..
- maxnoe 8y agoIn the mean time, cern even got it's own top level domain, because of its international nature. CERNs homepage is https://home.cern https://home.cern
