Running NoScript, the entire website seems to not load - awesome.
- pasta 8y agoI understand why you use NoScript but I think in this time Javascript can be used as requirement and it isn't very realistic to complain about it. Using NoScript means you accept that some sites won't work.
- Yetanfou 8y agoAnd, in return, designing sites which won't load without crutches means you accept you'll lose part of your audience. Of course it is possible to design a site in such a way that those who allow scripting get all the bells and whistles while those who don't get a server-rendered version based on the same data. It doesn't even need to be 'static' as CSS allows for quite a few bells and whistles all by itself. Add a reminder to 'switch on Javascript for the "full experience"' and everyone's happy. Well, maybe not everyone. Those who rely upon scripting to do things which the user would rather not have done might be less enthusiastic.
