Hmm. I'm not sure why my comment above is getting downvotes. It seems like a perfectly rational response to the very interesting insider revelation posted by the parent. To be honest I'd suspected this for a while based on conversations with female friends, and had therefore considered shutting down the relevant accounts. Now I've had it confirmed, it's simply provided the push I needed: why continue to do something that's mostly an unsatisfying waste of time when I could spend that time on something more interesting instead? And, whilst I realise you were being sarcastic, what's to mourn for anyone? Certainly nothing for me.
