I was in need of an updated router, and since the writing was on the wall for AirPorts I decided to get an Amplifi from Ubiquiti. It was dead simple to set up and it's worked great for both wired and wireless clients in my 1300sqft house. I am led to believe Ubiquiti has a good track record with security updates, too. I would love to buy an updated AirPort device if they get back to making them again, though.
