- gargravarr 9y agoOpenSolaris does still exist, it was forked and continues under the OpenIndiana name now. I think Oracle's major claim over the project was the use of the 'Solaris' name for copyright reasons. I hope that three letters would be a lot harder to assert copyright over, but I'm not holding my breath.
